08/20/10 - Oh, the joys of working in a commodity-driven product. Over the past 3 months, we’ve seen a 30% jump in the price of green coffee, mostly run up by speculators and fund managers. This has brought coffee prices up to a 13 year high. There seems to be some dispute as to whether this is a short term run up or a long-term sustainable pricing level.
Kinetic Koffee has been committed to giving our customers the finest certified organic coffee at fair prices for the past 5 1/2 years. We have maintained our current pricing for over two years. However, this substantial increase has obviously required us to reevaluate our pricing. We have decided to hold our pricing through the end of August and re-visit it for September adjustment, if needed. Our hope is that the spike in costs will subside, but if that does not occur, we will be forced to raise our prices. So, if you've been considering joining our Koffee Club, this might be a good time, since this will lock in pricing for the length of your prepaid subscription.
