4/24/09 - Now that I have caught up again, here is a brief report on our trip to the Sea Otter Classic last week.
One thing that you can count on at Sea Otter is the weather - it will always be a challenge! This year started out with extreme winds, keeping us from even setting up the tent when we arrived. Then the winds died and the place became an oven for this Humboldt County boy. Temps topped out on Sunday in the upper 80's (I even heard of temps in the 90's on the race course!).
Still, Joel and I had a great time seeing old and new friends while raising funds and awareness for World Bicycle Relief. We didn't sell as much coffee as we would have liked (10% of the sales went to WBR), but if we had had iced coffee, things would have been ROCKIN'!
Team Lost Coast Brewery made a special appearance at the booth.
Again, it was great to see many of you there. We truly appreciate your support and I love it when someone tells me how much they enjoy Kinetic Koffee! Spread the good word.
