Fall is certainly in the air here in Humboldt County. As the days get shorter and cooler, it’s time to think about how to stay warm for the months ahead. And we all know what that means - “coffee!”
Interbike was a huge success again this year. The booth was busy almost the entire time, and it was great to see a lot of dealers and friends in person after chatting on the phone for the past year. We started the show on Wednesday with a coffee mug giveaway, sponsored by Interbike and Bikes Belong and filling those mugs with Kinetic Koffee’s French Konnexion. We again hosted a get together of the Classic Rendezvous, an eclectic group of classic bicycle collectors. We also had a promotion with Sock Guy – a Mechanic’s Special that included 4 pairs of sox and a bag of Kustom Label Sock Guy coffee. They sold out by the end of the show! Our coffee was served in the Sock Guy booth as well as Thule’s and United Bicycle Parts’.

Our jersey finally arrived (YEA!) and it looks great! We took a number of orders at the show and sold through our first order almost immediately.
We also showed our new t-shirts, featuring a graphic of the caffeine molecule updated with a choice of tire tread or hikers’ soles. We sold every cyclist shirt we brought with us!
On the coffee front, this month’s Special Roast is our Humboldt Holiday Roast, an Ethiopian Limu. It is a very smooth cup, very spicy with a chocolate finish. Sweet!
We received a bit of press coverage in the local papers recently. Here is a shot from the Eureka Reporter as well as the Arcata Eye.
